8 Hour VFDI Program

The curriculum is a Virginia DMV-Approved Driver Improvement Curriculum. The Vendor is MGA Consulting LLC. Driver Training 4 Virginia is the distributor. After successfully completing this multi-day certification workshop, instructors can use this program to start or grow their driving school business. Training for new affiliates is delivered in person or online. Create your own schedule. As an approved curriculum, you are able to offer classes for drivers who have received a traffic ticket, want a reduction in insurance rates, have DMV compliance summary or improve their Virginia driving records. As an affiliate, you operate your own business and issue certificates on the course. You collect the course fees from your students, and we receive NO royalty fee or commission for each student who completes the course.
Choosing to either start your own classroom traffic school or making the switch to our curriculum will provide you with excellent opportunities to increase profit and utilize tailored learning.

Instructor Certification & Program Information

Instructor Certification Workshop: $650.00 (1 instructor)

This workshop prepares instructor candidates to deliver the Virginia Focused Driver Improvement Program coursework over multiple days. In person or online. The Certification is good for (1) year.

Materials are easy to adapt to the needs of:

• First-time traffic offenders.
• Experienced senior drivers.
• Company fleet operators.

• Volunteers – drivers who want to qualify for safe driving points and insurance discounts.
• Court / DMV – Court order or DMV required.

Course materials are included in the instructor certification workshop fee.

Student Materials

• Purchase student workbooks required at $5.00 per book. 50 books minimum required.

Training

• Training for new affiliates is delivered in person or online. Create your own schedule.

Customization:

• A/V: Unlimited curated free video playlist on YouTube. You have the ability to save the videos and create your own playlist. • PowerPoint: PowerPoint Presentation is customizable with the ability to add your company’s logo.

Instructor Recertification Information (every year)

Instructor Recertification Workshop: $500

Instructors seeking recertification must attend and successfully complete a one-day, 8‐hour course.

• No Annual Fee.

• Instructors must recertify every three years.

Recertification Testing Requirements:

Instructors seeking recertification must attend and successfully complete a one-day, 8‐hour course and achieve a 70 percent or better score on the Virginia Focused Driver Improvement Program course content test.

• Please plan for your recertification course carefully.
• If you attempt to re-certify after your certification expiration date and require an extension letter from our office to remain VA DMV compliant, an administrative fee of $35 will be assessed.
